Richard Macquire is known to me as the builder of our present house in North Melbourne. This house was built to a high standard and, indeed, won the Institute of Architects’ prize for the best new house in Victoria 2012. This award was in no small measure the accomplishment of Richard and his team of builders.
The house is finished ‘properly’, meaning that all the small things as well as the big things have been executed so that they not only look good but will also last a long time. The house is a delight to live in. Richard himself is a pleasant person who aims to please. He uses first rate sub-contractors and does not take short cuts.
